Default Best bang for the buck glass cleaner

I have a 20g that I am moving away from. Currnetly I only have a Skunk Loach in it and it is getting a bit green on the inside glass. What type of fish would do the best job of cleaning that up? I'm guessing a Pleco. Suggestions? I'll be moving what ever I choose into my 60g tall when I am finally done with this 20.

    Thanks in advance.

I used a scrubby just for my fish tank. No reason to buy a glass cleaner when you can do the cleaning yourself and a pleco is too large for a 20 gallon. If it's getting green, keep the sun from hitting the glass and do water changes to make sure the nitrates are low. Also make sure the filter is large enough for the tank. Find other remedies other than a pleco.

Hello there Kingsley.........Yup........we sure are neighbors. And not a decent fish store without 300 miles. I found it about impossible to have fish without going through the mail order.

Are you familiar with Club Green Aquatics in Mt. Pleasant? I stumbled across them last year. Pretty nice stuff and an interesting owner.

No, but heard of Tropical Tails in Mt Pleasant. http://www.tropicaltails.biz/

I had to give up the hobby last year. I turned into an old coot and began having too many medical conditions to keep up with it. I miss it tho.

Well if you would like a fish to do the job, nothing beat an otocinclus. So many here have them and touted at their magical algae eating abilities, I didn't realize how true they were until I got myself a bunch (10). They have been doing a phenomenal job in my 75 gallon and I have had them for less than a month. Shouldn't get less than 6, and they stay small so you shouldn't have a problem if all you have is a skunk loach in the 20(just Googled them and they are super cute little loaches). If you think he might be too aggressive to the otos, try some nerite snails (eat algae) or a mystery snail or two (they eat algae as well leftover food).

I'd love to have some snails in that tank, but I'm concerned the loach would consider them big treats.
