So I got my dry rock in the mail this week. I got 50 pounds. How do I cure it? I know I need some live rock to help seed it so I was going to buy about 10-15 pounds of that. I have absolutely no idea how to do it so a link to a step by step process or your own process would be greatly appreciated.

If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

I actually found this after I posted. Could I just cure it in my tank if the tank is brand new and has nothing in it?

Yes you could cure it in the tank, but I warn you the first week or two is very messy and you might wanna consider doing the cure in a separate container. I used a 32 gal black trash bin from lowes. Costs about $13

Also considering doing the cure outside or in a garage etc it will smell and consider there may be water splashed around during maintenance

It would be better to use a container that you can black out to help ensure there would be no light on the rock while curing it
