Seems like overkill to me, I don't think I would want to spend all of that $ (I have no computer next to the aquarium so the wifi would be the only option at $260) just for testing I can do with kits I already have, or a thermometer I already have (2 of).

I think I would rather spend that to get another tanks/filter/light/fish.

Have one, love it! Great to monitor ph fluctuations and the temperature alert is wonderful, if it falls outside the range you set you will get a text message...this alerted me to a power outage. I have mine connected to an old laptop.

Nice. It looks really cool. And u dont have to keep spending money on master kits, i mean they come with around 800 tests i believe but eventually ur gonna have to buy a new one

It's a shame it doesn't measure nitrates. For an established tank, it's probably as useful as ammonia, if not more so.

How expensive are the slides, abs how often do you need to replace them?

If your the DIY type and you are good with electronics this might be for you. I'm about half way through the thread now (it's really long) but It's interesting to me. I might give it a try more because I like diy and electronics more than having high tech gadgets on my aquarium, even though that'd be cool to. And it does much more than the seneye.
