ID these fish please

Found these at the LFS, they came in mismarked as feeder guppies and the store owner has no idea what they really are. I think they are pretty neat looking and I might go back for a few more if I can get a ID. They are around 3/4" long.

Would they also be known as least killifish? I went back to the lps and bought all they had. I have a thing for tiny little fish and I will probably never see these come through the store again.
I have a new 55 gallon waiting to be set up and I'd love to have a ton of these little guys.

No, doesn't look like a kili to me at all. I think it's a central american livebearer, probably all females unfortunately. Rocksor might be in the right direction, something from Gambusia genus does seem likely.
1. Any chance of a better picture?
2. Can you ask your shop if they have any clue where they got these from? Wild import from? Or a farmed species?

Least killifish aren't actually a killifish, not quite sure why they have that name, check out Heterandria formosa. I will try to get better pics.
I did go back to to the lps and buy the rest. I know wherever they come from, all they sell is feeder fish. I doubt I can get the suppliers name.

"feeder fish" .... I should have known. Heterandria is indeed a very good guess.

They are such cute little fish, I'm surprised more people don't keep them. I'm glad I got them all, the lps would never purposely order them again.

Livebearers other than the traditional 3 can be tricky to find especially if they're not that fancy coloured. In this case the, in my opinion, strange habit of "feeder fish" works to your advantage.

These guys have turned out to be very cool. They are some of the busiest fish I've owned but aren't hyper. They look super cute hanging out with the cherry shrimp and working the gravel.

That is neat that you like them and that they'll never be eaten...good job on the "rescues"
