Just now read about your endlers -- sorry to hear they took up sunbathing. All of mine jumped as well, one by one, over several months time. Silly fish.

Thanks Rivers, I'll never know why the males do it, and the females don't
They ARE in two different tanks, so maybe that has something to do with it

Botanicals in the 29G, the TL gouramis were very interested...still amazes me how they never go near the surface, regardless of what's going on in the tank

This is so weird. I put 4 male endlers in my 20g over a year ago, and added 9 more males this past July. So far, everybody has decided to stay. Hope I don't start experiencing this.

99% of the time, it's the males for me...if they aren't jumping into the filters, they're jumping on the lids.
I've had females in the 40B jump into the AC70 a couple of times, but when I first put them in...haven't found any in it lately
I keep finding new fry in that tank, but no males yet, which is really strange
