I have several common gold, gold grey, and the usual brown and blacked striped algae eaters. I was wondering how easy it was to breed them and how to do it! Any tips would be really helpful! I've loved these fish for a long time!! I would love to have them have some babies!! Thank you!

yeah... what are you going to do with them? After the "common pleco" this is the next unsuitable algae eater sold in big numbers.

    Anyway, http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/mix/...algaeeater.php

Eventually some do. And by that size they tend to be less friendly than the common "pleco"

Kept well they are indeed fascinating fish.

Oh, I know they don't eat much besides slime algae... but I prefer to keep them just for personality, they are one of the most interesting fish Ive kept, surprisingly!! They mainly eat flake foods and pellets instead of algae, and are very feisty!! I was thinking of keeping some of the babies, and two of my friends are really interested in them too! We also have a lfs that likes to take in adult or baby fish so they can sell them. But the thing is, I dont know how many babies I'd be dealing with, so that is also a determining factor. Thanks for the article!!

You can only give a thumbs up...once you do, you have the option to take away the thumbs up if you change your mind, that is why the icon has a down thumb, it just removes your thumbs up
