I would suggest to try Firefly's suggestion for two days before trying any meds. Typically, lot of fresh clean water every day will help a fish heal up just as well as meds

If that doesn't work, try Paraguard. I have never had much luck with the med your LFS recommend
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Ok, I just finished water change. I will try FF method as u suggest. I know meds should be the last resource but im really worried.

Any way guys, If i have to med my fish should i have to remove mi filter media? (im using hob filt. with those "matala" sponge plus the carbon bag) or just the carbon bag? Ive always wondered about that since the directions only say remove carbon. Also, im not sure if i have give them the full dose or half considering that i have some scaleless fishes.

I tried the suggestion of changing water twice a day but it did not have any effect, so i started to use melafix (i didnt notice that it says its a "natural" extract). Ill keep an eye on my kuhli to see any progress.

Hang on - you tried for two days? If the wound wasn't getting any worse then the effect was positive. I'm, quite frankly, disappointed. How quickly would your belly heal following a cyst bursting? If it's two days then you're a medical wonder.
