We all need understand that there are many different approaches to setting up a marine aquarium. Let's offer our opinions and experiences to the OP and let her decide (through her research) which is the best approach for her.If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Thank you, Cliff and Ron (Surfdog - and sorry I have called you Rob a few times ).
My goal is to have a simple, somewhat minimalist tank. Having the tank bare bottom suits that goal. Having less rock in the tank suits that goal (although I would like at least one tall piece, so depending on what I find and how much it weighs, I may end up with ?? lbs of rock after all). It's a work in progress and I'm learning as I go and discovering new things (darn those soft corals, especially the sun corals!!!).
I appreciate the advice and input from everyone, opinions are good, experience is better.
And I really appreciate you guys having my back and your support.
