    Welcome to AC Kimmy! What kind of Pleco do you have? Some types of pleco might get a little big for your aquarium. Also, depending on your species, it might not even be one that eats off algae like you most likely got it do.

    Hi, welcome!
    My advice: ID the pleco (I'd be happy to help if you get a decent picture or two. Then plan for what to do with it. In your country the most common species sold will eventually reach an adult size of 16-18 inches tip to tailend, sometimes more.
