  1. Default Weird problems with java moss

    0 Not allowed!
Ok, some of you guys might know that i take the occasional(every 2-3 months) visit to the LFS and give them some java moss.
However now my java moss is becoming more brown than green whilst growing it in a small jar. At first it all seemed a bit brown so kept in a place with direct sunlight for a couple of days.
Then when i saw the browning was increasing I kept it out of the sun and expected to fully green up again but instead it has become even more brown.

I dont know how this happening as I have successfully done this before
When everything goes without a hitch its only then do you realize something is wrong

How long has it been since you moved it out of the sun? Plants can take time to adjust to new environments. In this instance, if the light is causing the plant to die then moving it to the shade wouldn't stop the process right away. You'll still get die off and it will take it a while to put forth new growth. What is brown shouldn't turn green again but if enough of the plant survived, it should make new growth.
Increasing your biodiversity increases your stability.

You know what this tank needs? ........................ Crypts.
