A few months ago I broke down a 26g bow front and set up a 40B. So I knew for sure how many fish I had as I had to catch them all - twice. They were moved once to a temp tank, then to the new tank. I even recorded the kinds and totals of the fish and I had 5 glowlights left among the other fish. I had decided a couple of years ago to let the shoal live out their lives and not to replace any.

I now have 7 glowlights and I can see that 2 of them appear younger, less filled out than the others, although they are just about adult sized. I've been watching this tank more closely the last couple of days as I just lost an emperor to fungus. So was I surprised when I saw how many glowlights I now have. I may never be without this type of fish if this keeps up!
