Looks good, cloudiness is normal in a tank that is cycling. Are you doing any kind of cycling to it? Or just letting it run? Do you know your parameters? ammonia, nitrite, nitrate?

You know what this tank needs? ........................ Crypts.

I would highly recommend you look up the fishless cycle under the beginner section. It will show you how to build a good colony of beneficial bacteria that are essential to a healthy tank. Without them your fish will succumb to ammonia poisoning. It is a boring process but much much better on your and your fish if you go this route. Letting the tank run a week isn't going to do anything. That's what happened to me and I most have lost a dozen fish before I got it sorted out.

Also, a couple of cories? Why you could do a nice school of cories in a 29 gallon. :) Just after it cycles of course.

sadly, without running a cycle, which you can do a fishless cycle at this point, just running it wasn't doing anything :(

And cory cats will be great for that tank, but you need to be sure its cycled because since they are bottom dwellers, they are at the highest risk of ammonia poisoning if it is not cycled

You don't need it, just pure ammonia and a good liquid test kit
