Thank you for the info. I have started skimming thru his journals too.

I love all the journals and pics on here, but the one drawback to reading the journals is finding links to all the other fabulous journals and not having enough free time to sit and read them all. I am getting caught up slowly, but surely and learning a lot along the way. I guess that is part of the process. Patience is surely not one of my virutes!

Yeah, PM Triton if you are interested in any of his plants. The last page of his thread has his updated plant list. You can't beat his prices even with shipping.
Increasing your biodiversity increases your stability.

You know what this tank needs? ........................ Crypts.

Journals are great for doing research and to get new ideas. For me, the research is the best part of a tank setup. Also check out your local public library. And of course, ask questions!

I have some books on hold / requested from the library. Sadly they don't seem to have a large aquarium section. Same with the local Barnes & Noble. I bought one book from there (the only one they had that actually had diamond tetra information, btw).

I know I could look online for books, but I like to flip thru them to see if they have plenty of information and pictures.

These journals and all the knowledgeable / encouraging people here are really helpful. I am so glad that I stumbled upon this site!

Today is payday AND I have gotten all the way thru to the current threads on Slap's EPIC 40B journal! I think I may treat myself to some browsing at either one of the lfs and/or libraries by way of a short detour on my way home.

I'd like to look for some crypts at the lfs. I read somewhere on these threads that's what this tank needs. (It's kind of like a subliminal message...) lol

Thank you! I'm reading all of their journals too and trying to learn as much as I can. I like that there always seems to be something new to learn. Do you have a journal(s) on here too?
