Thread: Repashy Gel

Hello great community of fish lovers,
Question: Should one wait for gel food, that has been stored in frig, to be at room temperature before feeding to fish?
Reason I ask is because I made my first batch of repashy soilent green gel food for my goldies and they loved it. The gel needs to be stored in the frig. Today I was feeding straight from the frig right in to tank. The fish ate it, no problem, but I started thinking which led to worry. Does cold food cause health problem for my babies? So of course I turn to the wealth of knowledge that is this great community.Roll the Dice!

I'm not too sure if it would be a potential problem or not, but if you will worry less, let the food thaw out before feeding.
That might just be the best approach as it would be a more natural approach for your fishIf you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

I believe I would let it reach room temp before feeding, too....no reason to risk giving your goldies an "ice cream headache", lol
