    Exclamation Stocking new tanks?

    0 Not allowed!
Currently have 2x 3.5 gallons and a 5 gallon and they contain 8 ghost shrimp, 1 neon tetra (rest died of neon tetra disease), 1 betta, and 2 cory cats. Getting a new 20 gallon and can only keep that and 5 gallon. So, for stocking I was thinking:

5 Gal: Goldfish (only temp until our pond's finished)
3-5 guppies (again temp, they need to stay in there for a while until my sisters 10 gal is set up again)

20 gal: Betta (I don't think he's that agressive, does well with the catfish right now)
    5 tetras
2 catfish (will probably get 3 more so school of 5)
    ghost shrimp
    2 apple snails
    5 danios
    pleco

    Stats:
    Both tanks maintain 75 degrees
    5 gal is 16 x 8
    20 gal is 30 x 12
    neither is planted

Are you looking for feedback? Or suggestions?

The 20 is not planted but how bare is it? Picture?

I hope you are looking for feedback...because that 5g plan is not good. Waaaaay too overstocked with guppies and goldfish. Goldfish should never go in anything less than a 20, and that's with fancy types.

Guppies also are too big to a 5g, even if it is temporary. I would expect to see lots of illness and death with that plan. Sorry.

It would be better to keep the betta in the 5g with a snail or the shrimp.

The 20 plan sounds fine, but I would suggest getting fake plants or something for the fish to feel more comfortable.
20 gallon with a male betta, neons, glowlights, and red cherry shrimp. (work in progess) Recently added a few LIVE plants and driftwood, Woooohoooo!

It will have decor of course, it just wont be live plants! :) Yeah, I knew the 5 gal plan is ridiculous but they'll only be in there for a few days until 10 gal is sterilized and the goldie for maybe 2 weeks while the pond is built. Thanks for replies!

Oops, missed that one. Yes, unspecifiedd plecos are usually some kind of Pterygoplichthys and you'd be looking at 12-18 inches of adult length depending on the species.

Yeah I made that mistake a couple times, I would do live plantsofsome type hornwort is good and does well in low light but will out grow your tank quick money wort is also good about same doesn't grow as fast though a marimo moss ball will be a great first plant
