  1. Default 55 Gallon stocking ideas

    0 Not allowed!
Hello everyone, I have a standard 55 gallon freshwater aquarium. Currently housed are two angelfish, a shoal of black skirt tetras(approximately 10) and two plecos.
I am open to any stocking suggestions, I want to keep the angels and plecos, but the skirt tetras can go. plastic plants and plastic tree stump are what is in the aquarium.
The filter is an aqueon 40-60 gallon rated filter, I will be looking to buy another filter, and LED lights are the lighting. Gravel is the substrate, and I would not mind some anubias plants as I have heard they dont need much light or anything special. Thank You and anything helps!

How do you feel about the Red eyed tetra ? With your size tank , there is and almost endless amount of entries . What kind of pleco do you have ? Depending on THEIR adult size you may already be overstocked , you do know some plecs get pretty big ?????
ask ?'s and change some water pair of JD's and loving it.

I'll suggest, Rosy, Lemon, Diamond or Black phantom tetra's any of them would work with Angels because of their body type.

I am not too about that sure angels have been known to nip at smaller fishes. Why not a gourami and some Rummy Nose tetras

I like Colombian tetras, they're fine with plastic plants, will eat real ones. Bleeding hearts also grow to a decent size.

    ^^^^Please click the eggs/dragons, thanks.

Emperor tetras would look great in your tank, one of my favorites of all time.

My Colombian tetras have never taken even a nibble at my plants

I like steeler58's suggestions for similar body style tetras with angels

Colombian's are a great suggestion and I too have never heard or seen them eat plants.
