Wildcaught fish , trinidad
I've been busy since i last posted lol
Pike cichlid ,Crenicichla frenata, caught in a canal near where i live which was cleaned for land development , it's dried up now , i kept this one tho
Blue acara ,Aequidens pulcher,caught in same location as pike , unusually green almost "electric" coloration if u ask me , caught quite a few all were released
Gymnotus carapo , banded knifefish caught same place , kept one
Hoplias malabaricus , wolfish , caught in an agricultural pond in the east of the island , i ate this one .....
Awaous banana, caught in a mountain stream on the eastern part of the island

astyanax fasciatus , made the mistake of placing some in a moderately planted tank
blue acara from a mountain stream
cichlasoma bimaculatum, eaten............
Erythrinus erythrinus , came from silty water others i caught at different locations have the red tipped fins

DSC03157.jpgmy collection method , a small castnet imo stresses out fish the least and is easier to maneuver in those small pools of water

Nice to see you round again.
that is awesome just being able to go out and catch "aquarium" fish in the wild like that.
how did you ID them?
