Yes, I am using Cupramine by Seachem. The only filtration I am using is the foam filter on the airline. I've been checking the ammonia and copper levels daily and changing at least 2 1/2 gallons a day, sometimes 5 gallons

I'm also thinking that once the quarantine is done (and the 3 fish are back in the DT), i will go ahead and get a replacement Royal Gramma AND a 6 line wrasse and quarantine them 3 weeks while I still have the quarantine tank set up and then transfer them over to the DT

Why the constant water changes ?
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

I had read that it was necessary for a hospital tank that doesn't have any biological filtration or any other way to clear out ammonia/nitrites/nitrates. Am I worng?
There is no live rock in the hospital tank (QT). Just 3 fish and 2 pieces of PVC pipe for them to hide in, and the airline with sponge filter.

OK, I missed the part they were in a uncycled QT tank.

Keep testing the parameters daily and adjust the size of the water change from there to make sure there are no measurable ammonia in the water

While I am going through this quarantine process, I've stocked a couple corals - A kryptonite candy cane and a small branching hammer. I also added a cleaner shrimp. My Zoos are not doing so well and I'm dipped them every other day for a 6 days but they all continue to deteriorate. I'm beginning to think Zoos just aren't in my future but the Acans are doing very very well. Sal 1.026, PH 8.1, CAL 430, KH 8.8, phospates 0, nitrates 0
Still have a few weeks of QT to go.

So when I start stocking fish again, I'm thinking about adding a Bengaii Cardianal, (or I could go back to a Royal Gramma) and then later adding something to help control the exploding population of pods - maybe a yellow coris wrasse (was thinking about a 6 line but I'm concerned about it being too aggressive with other fish.). Any thoughts on this?

Good to read about your progress

Using a QT set can be a lot of extra work, but that work will always be worth it
