  1. Default Best air pump/pump for a waterfall effect?

    0 Not allowed!
I have a small 10 gal tank and currently am using an aqua clear 20 pump along with a sponge filter.

My sponge filter consists of a 6" PVC pipe connected to an elbow joint where the water runs out of a skulls mouth after being filtered. My problem is that the water comes out in a ton of bubbles, where as I wanted more of a trickling of water like a small waterfall.

Does anyone know of an air pump that would be stronger or maybe just a completely different water pump that will give me the effect i am looking for?

Here are some pics, I removed the sponge from the PVC just for a better picture.

Let me know what you guys think would do the trick

Is the air flow rate adjustable on the AC?...if not, being able to adjust it may help...

I have 2 of these, nice quiet little air pump, with fully adjustable flow: http://www.amazon.com/JW-Pet-Company.../dp/B002DVVDFA

would bigger or fewer holes in the pipe help? more water might flow through versus "bubbling" out

the problem is that for an air pump to lift water it needs the bubbles...

You could use a power head... but that might give you a fountain lol
