Which aquatic forum do you think has a better layout?....None!

Your new so explore more before leaping. Btw, the R 'column' can be hid. My $.02

Never been on another aquatic forum, not one dedicated to just that at least. Glad you can hide one of the side colums. It's not a big problem but it was just a thought.

I gave the OP a thumbs up because I kind of agree. The site can be little hard to navigate, especially for a newbie.. but you get used to it after a while if you stick it out.
The information and folks bring me back here, but there are some others that are visually better, both in navigation and layout.
planetedtank.net, aquariumadvice.com, fishlore.com are all good examples of other well formatted forums.

I'm guessing some members here frequent the other boards as well??

There are better and worse forum layouts out there. It gets much easier after a few days.

The layout here is just a bit dated. Which is fine for those who get used to it or stick around because they know people here know what they're talking about, but site growth would probably be improved by an updated layout. A lot of the fish sites I've been taking a look at have had the same layout for the past millennium...
Need centerpiece (or pair of centerpiece) fish suitably sized for a 55 gallon tank in progress.
    Got any ideas?

The layout we are using now works pretty well. Updating it would only lead to unnecessary complications and diminishing returns.
