Default Fake rock - 'aquatic clay' FIRST POST

Sorry for how vague "aquatic clay" sounds but it's basically what im looking for i want the make a "wall" separating some water from land. So yea i need some sort of putty / clay type material which isn't toxic and can be used in a tank to make rack rocks etc.

Would really appreciate if someone could shed some light on what i'm looking for or what i sounds like im looking for. Thanks

Oh and first post on the forum... yay

Hello and welcome. Sooooo I'm trying to figure out what you want here. You want a fish tank where part of it is filled with water and part is dry? Like a river bank kind of look or quite literally a wall and the dry area is on the same level as the water?
Increasing your biodiversity increases your stability.

You know what this tank needs? ........................ Crypts.

Well it's actually a frrog tank lol, i'm after something like clay which isn't toxic and good to use in water.

I am actually making a marine tank too with my step dad but thats another story. (hope i don't get flammed for talking about a frog tank but i figured this be the best for my question)

Look-up Sculpy/Fimo clay. They pose no threat to your tanks, water or plants as long as they have been cured.

Look into using great stuff expanding foam and then coating it with colored drylok (multiple coats)

You will not be flamed for posting about a tank for a frog.

One of our members made a frog tank like I think you are describing, and I believe he used additional glass or acrylic panes (you can get them at a hardware store) and aquarium safe silicone.

Brhino's Journal with build photos can be seen ->HERE It looks like the build description and photos start about page 3 or so in.

After curing, I think the clay will be no different than clay pots that many use in tanks for caves. No clear coat.

There are a few of those here too. I believe Demjor19 was breeding and selling some of his not terribly long ago.
