You guys. I always try to keep my substrate amused, the laughing motion expels any gas leaving it nice and safe. Do you experts not know to make your substrate giggle??
I SUPPOSE you could always jiggle it around instead -_-

DM, I'm looking forward to seeing the shade of your sand when wet. You seemed to be after a natural-looking sand/tan color (unless I misunderstood) right?
You say it was a 20 pound bag of standard PFS. Did the bag list the grain size or color? (I admit to an ulterior motive for my Q: I’d like to copy you, in a future 10 gal)
It really looks great in your tank and I am thinking water will darken it just the right amount.

It says it is a standard #20 PFS. It does list the grain size.. I can post it for you when I get home from work.

For RG- the bag says Effective size .45-.55 mm. Hope that helps.

This is one of the pieces of DW I have. I bought this one a while ago. I'm not going to leave the tank like this but thought I would put everything in that's ready and cover it all with a garbage bag to avoid dust, etc. Added plus.. it gives it a temp black background!
