    I hate two of these.
This one seems to be very territorial with the other one, who's much smaller in size.

I only have tiny fish like guppies, black molly and zebra fish in my tank.
I didn't see these fish being aggressive with the rest, but I'm worried that they might start attacking them later.

I want to look up what their behavior is like and how big they might grow and should i consider replacing them.

Looks like a golden chinese algae eater. They are indeed territorial. SAE are the non-aggressive versions that are much better for community tanks.

+ 1 to Sandz ID, you should probably rehome it before it gets to big and realy starts terrorizing your tank as you said it has already started doing. They can get big and are realy not that great of alage eaters.

Thanks for the quick reply you guys!
I'll try and return them back to the shop.

P.S. Can you guys suggest some small bottom feeding fish? My tank is pretty small, probably 12 gallons (not sure). So I want options that aren't aggressive and don't grow too big.

I'll try and find the Siamese Algae Eater, but I'm not too sure that my local aquarium shop has 'em.

Pygmy cories as a species would fit in a 12 gallon. However, they may not depending on what else you have in there. What is your exact stock list (species and # of individuals)?

Your water seems quite cloudy, which suggests to me the may be more issues with your tank than just the algae eaters. How long have you had this tank? Maintenance schedule? Water parameters (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH)? This information will help AC members get a better picture of your aquarium, and allow them to give the best advice based on your situation.

Sorry but no. Those rocks on the bottom are gigantic and there seems to be a piece of coral in or something, you can see it in this picture. So no possibility at all to rummage in the sand and hard water means you'll likely lose the whole lot in 3 months

I have two zebra danios, two zebra angels, four guppies, two sword tails, two black mollies and the two golden Chinese algae eaters.

I've had this tank for less than a week. No idea about the ammonia, nitrite, nitrate or pH levels (I only found out about these AFTER i set everything up).

I've had aquariums when i was a kid but my dad did all the maintenance for it. This is the first time I've set up an aquarium.

The water itself isn't murky but looks so on cameras for some reason (probably 'cause of the blue tinted glass at the back, but i'm only guessing).

I have a sponge filter and a air pump gravel filter running at all times.

I didn't let the water run its course to get down the nitrate levels, because at the time i had no idea about it. However, I put in a water conditioner to get the chlorine down and the water itself was filtered and purified.
