Default Alternanthera plant dying at alarming rate

    0 Not allowed!
    20 gallon hight

    I have 48w dual T5 light with 1- 6,700k daylight bulb and I 10,000k bulb on 8 hours a day.
2ml of Flourish excel every other day
2ml of iron once a week
    Gravel

My 2 Ludwigia Repens, 2 Green Cabomba and 2 4 leaf Clovers are doing great.

My Alternanthera starting this week, the bottom leaves are turning soft and dying off fast. The middle leaves are turning slight green and top leaves are fine.

Micro Sword- few strains are turning yellow but, I have heard few strains in the beginning will turn yellow and then back to green.

Is the Alternanthera dying because not getting Nutritions from ingredients found in Seachems Flourish?

    No Root tabs?

    Not enough light hitting it?

Not enough light, do you still have the plant weight on it. If so remove it, and spread the stems out

Would it help if I also use the daylight T8 that came with the tank?

Also what is the best way to get my dual T5 light fixture to get light to all parts of the tank? I put it in the middle of the tank

Stick with the t5 bulbs, but you can try adding the t8 as an additional light. Right over the plants is the best bet

I will keep the T5s in the middle of the tank and put the T8 over the plant.
