Cherry barb issue maybe
0
I'm not sure if this is anything or not, but it wasn't there when I left on Tuesday, and when I returned last night it was.
Let me know your thoughts.

If not clear, it has swelling on the left side mid section, and some redness just in front of it. So far he is still eating.

Hi
sorry about the cherry barb. It's very difficult to see what's going on from the photo. could be a number of things that cause the swelling. It could be bloat, could be constipation, could be an injury or it could be a parasite about to break out of the skin
You might want to google any one of those and if you come up with something you think fits, come back and let us know. We'll see if we can help..
In the mean time, how's your water? Ammonia? Nitrites? Nitrates?
If you've got anything but 0 ammonia and nitrites, or if your nitrates are about 20 or 30, you might want to make a water change. Clean water can sometimes be very beneficial.
BTW - is there any chance she could be full of eggs?

Yeah, it's hard to tell from the picture if that's a male or female? If it's a female, I'm guessing eggs as well.

I think it is a male, based on the redness of the tail area. Levels are 0,0,5. Only 5 days after a water change, and this aquarium is fairly lightly stocked.

Feeding some shelled, cooked or canned peas will help with constipation.
