No chance for snails and they have proven to be good plants. You can even leave those ones in their bags for a few days and not need to put them in a bucket. Make sure you wash all the gell off them first though before putting them in your tank.
I've never seen the plants in bags. Perhaps they don't sell them like that in Canada.. or perhaps just not at this store. Either way, I will keep an eye out for them. I like the idea of not having to worry about snail.

Found this online. Not the best picture but it gives you an idea of the packaging.

Increasing your biodiversity increases your stability.

You know what this tank needs? ........................ Crypts.

That's great, thanks. My other option is to order online but I wasn't sure if certain places would ship to Canada. I know fish are a no no but plants I wasn't sure about.

I kinda figured that on the shipping. Everything that's "live" seems to be a problem. As far as Petsmart plants.. this is why I was looking at other options. Like I said, they don't have the plants in separate tanks and the staff are no help in IDing the plants. We are going to Big Al's and a couple of other stores in the city this weekend so I'm hoping the experience there is better.

Unfortunately, that's a bit far for a road trip! I'm about an hour from the Montana border.. 2 1/2 hours east of Calgary.
