We actually don't have them yet. It took longer than I thought to get supplies in to build the cage. Cage is built now. Then we decided to paint our daughter's room first, where they will be going. Have primer up on the walls now, and if the 4 and 5 year old cooperate I will get real paint on the walls later today. It is going bubblegum pink to go with her fuscia curtains.

I think I have all the supplies together for them too, except for a couple food dishes, even have the hay here.

Really hoping to be all ready this weekend. Will have to try to do pictures after we have them.

We have them. Rosey and Lolo. They poop a lot but are getting easier to handle. They love their veggies. Have no idea if these pictures will show up or not.

Congrats! The pictures are a bit blurry...but they're adorable nonetheless!

Ours used to grab the bars of their cage around dinner time and chew and shake them...lol...like a version of prison break...

Their cage is almost 6 feet long and about 28 inches wide.

Bad news is that we found either a tumor or cyst under one of their chins this morning. Vet appointment this afternoon. I hope it is easily fixable because my 5 year old daughter will be heartbroken if anything happens to her.

Oh dear! Hopefully it's just a cyst and not a problem. :( I'll keep my fingers crossed!

BTW...ferrets are not rodents. They are mustelids (so is a wolverine)... they have been historically used to kill rodents though...

Well the lump is an infected abcess near the lymph nodes. Started antibiotics today and hopefully that will make it go down over the long weekend. If not, they want to remove it with surgery which is risky. Have to buy a secondary cage tonight because if they do surgery they can't be together while she heals.

Poor thing! But luckily it isn't cancerous!
