Looks a lot like infected bite wounds due to water quality issues.
What tank size are they in? Do you by chance know your water parameters? What is your maintenance schedule? Knowing this will help forum members accurately diagnose the problem.
Do you ever observe chasing between your fish? Gouramis are territorial and kissing gouramis are no exception. They also grow to be about a foot in length.

Kissing gourami is an 8 inch fish.. Not going to fit in an 8 gallon. If you get two males this will continue until one dies.

Clean water, some primafix and a piece of catappa leaf.

As a alternative to the above mentioned treatment, you can also use Paraguard (med made by Seachem). I have alway got great results with that med
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
