Hello all. I am new on here and tried to look around to see of this question was raised before, but could not see anything related ! (maybe i did not look well ?)

Here goes. I just bought a new aquarium, locally made (am in Mauritius Island). Size is 6ft x 18 inches x 2ft high. Thus approx 510 lts / 139 gal made with 10 mm glass ! It was made last week and its only yesterday ( 5 days after it was glued) that we washed and filled it for the first time ! But we saw like a slight bow on the panes, is that normal !? Its slight, lets say like around maybe a millimeter and the kids got worried and emptied the tank ! Standing empty as I am typing this...

Called the shop and he said that its OK and no need to worry ... Really ???

Yes, most aquariums bow a little when they are filled. Considering the length of yours, I sure hope you have some braces at the top?

Yea, considering the length it will bow a little. Yes I'd be worried too.... but the risks of owning a large aquarium lol. I worry about waking up any day to my 75g having burst all over the floor... is it likely (no) but knock on wood
