I LOVE them. I was hoping for the green tiger barbs because I love that deep green color. However with that breed you gotta shop around for ones that are solid green. The patchy ones aren't that good looking. As far as temperament, I have had no issues with aggression. I got them small and they have not bothered any of the other fish. Granted I have them in a school (which I know you would do) and they tend to pick on each other rather than anyone else. I was a bit concerned when I first got the panda garras, but the tigers seem oblivious to them.

That's great to know, thank you. Do your garras like to walk up the tank, or do they stay at the bottom level?

They tend to stay at the bottom, but they do like perches. So I'll see them sitting on the top of the stump or laying on the Anubis leaves. They will climb about mid way up the glass but that is about it. They are very very active though and hang out in the front. I was surprised at how rarely they hide.

That has been my experience, too. The only time mine have really crawled up the glass is when the tank was mostly drained and I was trickle-filling it. They were trying new in the tank, and trying very hard to find their way back to Myanmar. :)

And they have the coolest, most comical faces. They look like little lizards.

Yes they do!! I love the little spots on their noses. Do you feed them any fresh veggies? If so what? I tried a cucumber but they just ignored it. Maybe I needed to give it more of a chance. I've also been feeding sinking algae wafers and these sinking insect pellets from fluval they really like.

I've never given mine veggies, because I want them grazing the algae. They do get algae pellets most days, and they seem to enjoy fighting with the chain loaches and amano shrimp for them. :)

Alright everyone! Ask and you shall receive! Here is a video of my tank. I apologize for the audio. I tried making this video a few times and finally got one I liked and when I uploaded it, I realized I talk too quietly. Didn't want to do it again. hahaha
    Enjoy
