Do your pets eat better then you?
My dog gets Taste of the wild and my boy, Milo (who you see in my avatar sitting next to the tank I'm cycling) eats Blue Wilderness. I make sure they don't get junk.
Personally, I eat a lot of junk. Baking is a bit of a hobby of mine. I love making cakes, cookies, and pies. My favorite thing to make and eat is cheesecake. Now baked sweets isn't all I eat. I do eat proper food and make sure I get veggies everyday. But it's still not as good a diet when compared to my cat and dog.

My pets don't eat better than I do...but they get less junk food...which is better for them!
I've cut back dramatically on the junk food I eat...but I have a long ways to go before I eat as well as I should. Outside of junk food (as treats/snacks) we eat quite healthy.
The dogs get a higher quality dog food (various allergies to deal with) from a specialty pet food store...the cats get no-name wet food and Purina dry food from the grocery store. Everyone is healthy so that's what I focus on.55 g Goldfish Tank - 3 Fancies, 2 Comets

Not in the food department, but I did buy a RO/DI water filtration system for my fish, whereas I had been drinking the water myself for years without worrying about the quality of it. Once I had the filter, I quit drinking water out of the tap.20gal long planted community

I think my pets just might eat better than I do. When I add up all the costs at the end of the month, I spend a little more on pet food than I do on people food. Most of our of our dogs are on a high quality raw diet, the other on is on a special prescription diet due to a intestinal condition that he has. Our cat is on a combination of wet and dry Origin food, and the fish get mostly food that I make from seafood I buy at our grocery store combined with NLS flake and TwoLittleFishies seaweed I buy at the our LFS. All in all, I’m pretty sure they eat better than the wife and I.If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Well...my pets eat very well. My dog eats TOTW, my cats eat Blue Wilderness, my fish eat Hikari. I also feed about 50/50 prepared food and fresh food. I actually cook for my critters, they eat the same quality of meats and veggies as the SO and I do. I mix the freshly prepared food into their evening meal...morning meal is always only kibble. I spend an absurd amount on groceries due to primarily only consuming organic produce and humanely raised antibiotic free meat.
Now I do like my sweets and have never broke myself of my 2-3 sodas per day habit. My pets also get to indulge in animal goodies such as junk dog "ice cream" and various treats for all.
The fish also get fresh chopped seafood and fresh veg.3x75 gallons|2x55 gallons|2x50 gallons|3x40 gallons|1x29 gallon|1x10 gallon

my fish mostly eat raw seafood and yes, even though I don't like eating seafood, I would say they eat better than I do.your friendly neighbourhood arowanaman!

I would say no. My fish take Omega One and mosquito larvae. The cats might, She Who Must Be Obeyed takes care of them so I have no idea what they eat. I probably spend more time than money on my food as I grow a lot of my own vegetables and now fruits.Increasing your biodiversity increases your stability.
You know what this tank needs? ........................ Crypts.
