    Default Blue Gourami Spawn

    3 Not allowed!
My blue gouramis have been spawning all night. I managed to get a few decent pics that I thought I'd share. You can see the moment the eggs are released into the water in a couple of them. Unfortunately for the gouramis and their eggs, they share a tank with a school of giant danios who have been feasting on caviar this evening.

Those are really great pics. Would be nice if a few eggs got hidden enough to survive.

Amazing shots there. I really like the first picture of your second post. That must have been fun to watch.

Gorgeous photos! Hopefully a few of the eggs escaped the buffet.

It doesn't seem likely, but even if any hatch I'm sure the Danios would make very short work of the fry. There are also three pictus cats in there too. It's not really a spawn friendly tank.

Congratulations! I've never been able to breed gourami in my own tank. I cleaned tanks as a teenager for extra money and had a customer that got more gouramis than they had planned for and actually paid me more to take the fry. After that, they became one of my favorite fish. I've a pair of gold gourami now that seem ready to spawn but just won't get it on. I even tried playing a little Barry White, but apparently it doesn't work on fish.
