  1. Default Can you identify these fish for me?

The first fish in my tank were zebra danios, and these two fry turned up a few weeks after I added the danios, so I assumed that's what they were. They were so tiny when I first spotted them, but they've survived and would be about 2 months old now. But...as for being zebra danios, I'm thinking not. Don't know how I would have gotten them...maybe eggs riding in the bag with the danios? Regardless, they've made it this far so they have my respect. I'd like to know what they are though. They look a bit like cherry barbs to me, but that's a guess. Would love to hear what you think. The pic isn't the best but hopefully its good enough. Thanks much!

Cherry barbs indeed. In the first pic, male in the foreground brighter red, the other is a female.

Well, that solves that mystery, thanks! Will always wonder how I ended up with them, but they are getting along fine with their tank mates so they're welcome to stay.

Not surprising, they're an easy going species that get along with most others and aren't too demanding of specific water conditions
