To me it's a terrible sight such a magnificent animal caught / dead. What are your thoughts?

Bullsharks are pretty prolific in that area, though not commonly kept at that size. It's like fishing for large pelagics like marlin or sail fish, while you can legally harvest them, very few ever are recreationally.

Bull sharks may be common in the area,
But sharks as a whole are in serious decline.
If you ask me there is no justification at all for such wanton killing.

I really dont like seeing these fish slaughtered. They serve a serious purpose in our ecosystem. Its just like saying the Hammerhead is always around here and there are hundreds and thousands so its ok to make a tourist trinket out of them... I just dont support it.

I don't agree with hunting or fishing anything just for sport. Bull sharks are not threatened or endangered and if this one is going to be eaten then I don't have a problem with it being fished out of the ocean. Shark is delicious.
When I go fishing I just throw sharp rocks in the water and wait for the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.
I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Dear naps, sorry I hated you so much when I was a child... Love me

Not being offensive, but isn't that what the Japanese say about whaling?

With a statement like that you aren't fooling anyone, you are trying to be offensive. These sharks are not endangered nor threatened. If they are caught for food I have no problem with it... and they are best grilled.
