  1. Default 29 gallon tank Will it work for african cichlids?

I currently have a tropical community and I was thinking of tearing it down and turning it into an african cichlid tank. However from what I've read my tank is too small for most species and that my filtration wouldn't be adequate enough( quiet-flow with chemi pure) so anyway are there any Africans that I could keep and find easily at lfs

some shellies would do ok in that size, so long as your water parameters match their requirements.

I don't think they have Shellie's in any local fish stores of mine. They are pretty cool though.

depending on where you are, you can order them online...a couple people here have been very happy with their purchases.

They\re also easy to breed so someone local might have a few. Something this size start with 2 or 3 pairs.
