I have 2-3 amano shrimp in my and, I would like to breed some red Cherry Shrimp, will the amanos eat the young or, more importantly will there be cross breeding?

    Pressurized CO2(1 bps)
    Black flourite sand (60 lbs)
I have 8 adult guppies, and an insane amount of babies

No x-breeding possible as they are totally different species.

I keep both and have never observed any problems, though I would imagine an Amano would happily take down an injured or dying cherry. My cherries manage to breed in a busy community tank, they are quite resilient if the conditions fit!

Here's a cherry male hitching a ride on a small, male amano (the females are the biggest thing in my tank, about double the males - they are BIG)

55g planted: 10x adult guppies, 9x kuhli loaches, 7x black neons, 2x neons, 6x Amano shrimp, assassin snails & cherry shrimp

10g planted: Occasional platies & black devil trumpet snail

I will just throw a +1 - the only conscern I had with amano's is they are big enough to snatch fry of my cichlids so I dont use them... I am actually suspecting my cherrys from eating my killifish eggs...

I stand on the same terms as @Soot. They will definitely eat baby cherries or wounded cherries if the tank doesn't have a large amount of hiding areas.
It should eventually balance out though, as Amanos can't breed in freshwater(brackish only), and Cherries do rather easily.
