Here are a few pics of the new GBRs
and I need some help. It seems like some of the EBRs arent doing so well anymore, becoming pale and clamped up fins. Here is a pic of the worst and smallest guy, anyone know why and how we can get them better?

What's ur water like? Ammonia nitrite and nitrate levels? Temp and PH would be helpful too.

Ouch. That guy looks pretty bad.
What is the tank's temperature at?
Could it be aggression from other, dominant rams?
Have you ever treated the rams prophylactic ally for anything(parasites, Protozoa, bacteria, etc)?

I would say an immediate 90% water change is in order. When in doubt change water first.

Have you seen a fecal sample? Eating normally? Give us a run down of everything you have noticed.

Ok. I did a about 20% water change on the tank for the last 2 days. I'll maybe do a 50% tonight. I will also test the water before and after. I just don't get home until late tonight from work so I will update when I can.
Sadly another EBR died overnight. I'm not sure even which one if it is the one pictures from yesterday or not yet. I'll be able to actually check things out when I get home tonight.
I picked up some melafix in case it's bacterial. I am now noticing they are scratching themselves on the driftwood!!! Not a good sign but I so not notice any ick or anything yet. But I'll have to keep my eyes out.
Everyone else is doing great as I got an update from my boyfriend who is home today. So that's good to hear.
I will try to post my findings tonight when I get home.

I like your set up also. I'm sorry your having bad luck with your EBR's. I don't have much to offer except that I read the EBR's were the most sensative of the "color-morphs".

I'm sorry to hear the trouble with your EBR's. As previously mentioned they can be quite tricky. Another option could be to add some Indian Almond leaves, these release tannis and other substances that are supposedly anti bacterial and anti fungal. They also help to reduce stress. My GBR's seem to really appreciate the leaves.
