i have a green terror and have had him for over a year now. this morning i was up at 5am to let my dog out. i turned on one of out aquarium lights and the gt was pink! he looked like an albino. i have never seen him do this. is this normal? do they turn colors when they sleep? he is back to his normal coloring now, but the pink was a huge surprise!

It's common for fish to go pale when the lights are out and they "sleep". Since he has never done this I think you should test the water parameters in the tank and see if anything is off, just to play it safe.
People say if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all... Then they wonder why am I so quiet.
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
A moderator on a fish forum should be able to identify an oscar... Don't you think?

Could It be that you turned on the lights particularly early? My lights are on a timer and my fish usually color up a few minutes before lights on as there is a fixed schedule. If the lights go on early, then they would still be pale.
