  1. Default Ancistrus breeding tank

    0 Not allowed!
Some of you guys may remember that my pseudo-L144 and my common green ancistrus produced some off-spring. I have now decided that they should have their very own breeding tank. This will make it easier to maintain and will enable me to set it up to meet their specific needs.

This is the tank. A 135L tank running a fully-cycled C700 canister filter.

I will be performing a water change tomorrow and then I will move them in to it.

Is that a gourami top left? Or am I seeing things?

Looks good, just don't clean any algae!

There are two Pearls in the tank.

I won't be cleaning any algae. I just really need it to start growing!

    Thanks guys!

Now please correct me if I am wrong but those plants should provide sufficient oxygen for those 4 fish?

Probably. If it's planted and your filter output is just over the surface you needent' worry

I am going to try to plant it a bit more. Probably going to just let the Vallis go wild. I'm simply moving excess plants from my main tank into this one :).

Daily dosing with Excel will do for now I think. Might have to rig up some DIY CO2 in the future
