  1. Default Earthquake proofing

What is the best way to secure your tank for earthquakes. I have a 60 gallon tank and live upstairs so when we had an earthquake last night it felt a lot worse than it really was but still shook the tank pretty good I just want to secure it just in case thanks!

I know this isn't at all helpful, but I'm just dying to respond: "with crossed fingers..."

Man earthquakes are pretty freaky good luck...

I don't know anything about earth quake proofing living up in northern Canada, but I would think the first step would be to ensure your stand is of good quality and maybe even cross braced.

    And welcome to the forum
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Once more, not sure on the specifics as I'm not in an earthquake zone, but after an earthquake you might want to check the seals of the tank. Aquariums can withstand a lot of stress, just not when they're moving...
