What to do about snails in my tank??
0
I have heaps of baby ramshorn (i think?) snails in my 26 gallon tank, probably over 100 at a rough guess.
What is the best thing to do?
Should I just leave them there to eat some algae?
Or should I try population control with traps/lettuce etc?
Or should I try introduce a tankmate that will eat the snails?
If so, would any fish that are small enough for my aquarium eat the snails?

Why do you feel you need to do anything about them? Your post asks basically whether to leave them or not - they aren't harmful to your tank, so follow your personal preference. if you don't like having so many, then remove some. If you don't mind them, then leave them.
The only detrimental effect they may have on your tank, is if there is a mass die off. That might cause a spike. But their population is tied to the amount of food available - if you have so many, there is ample food for them, so you may want to address the nutrient balance in your tank rather than controlling the population directly.

An assasin snail will eat the other snails. I would send you one, but I dont know about shipping out of the country is legal, and I doubt it would make a long trip like that!
