If I were to get yellow labs and acei or demasoni ....could I do an ALL MALE tank with these? TIA for any info.

just a FYI... I'm not set on which "blue" type fish I can pair up with the yellow labs....so any input on what kind would be good IF doing an ALL MALE tank, would be appreciated too! ;)

I think you would have a very hard time trying to find enough males to even attempt it. I have found most Africans very hard to sex, except for Auratus, and they are really small when you buy them, sometimes barely an inch. I don't have an all male tank so I don't know how successful it would be, but most of the all male tanks I have seen only do one of each species to cut down on fighting.

Is there a reason you don't want females? Not many babies survive unless you go through the effort to strip the females or chase down and pull out the fry.

I wanted a all male tank mainly because I only have a 55gal and didn't want to stock it with the 1 male to 4-5 female (or whatever it is) and end up with a tank of mostly females which are not all that attractive. I really want a colorful tank. More yellow and blue then anything.

Well in a lot of the mbuna the males and females look a lot alike. I have yellow labs and can only tell for sure that one is female, and that is because I can see her pouch eggs and fry. Otherwise I think they look almost the same, at least in general color and appearance. If you only did 2 species in the 55 you would probably want at least 6 of each, you may even want more. Just be aware that their diet needs to be different than a lot of other fish. Find a high quality pellet food meant for Africans and you will be good.

If you want an all male tank, peacocks are the way to go. Lots of colour variations and many people keep them this way.
The only problem is buying all males...juveniles are hard to sex so you end up having to buy lots and rehome the females as you id them.
