I just got the barbs, like 2 days ago, so I haven't observed any nipping or aggression yet. The barbs tend to hide in the plants for now except at feeding time, and even then they're the last ones to the top. I'm hoping to be able to get a few more barbs when the LFS gets more in next week. They're tiny right now, about dime size, maybe a little bigger. I've got a contingency plan if I do end up with issues, I have a 10gal that I can set up quickly if need be. The angel and gourami have chased the barbs a little bit, but aren't as quick so no issues.

Does anyone know how to add photos via mobile? Do I have to go onto the full website to do that?

Oh, so their juveniles. If the angelfish and gourami have already chased them kinda letting them know who the boss is I don't think you'll have a huge problem. Are you using tapatalk when on mobile? If you are, to the left of the reply box is a plus sign, if you press that it brings you to a page with a bigger reply box and under that is a few icons. Pick the one that looks like photos. That's the easiest way I believe.

Very nice tank indeed! Have you thought of a black background? those plants and DW, and the fish, would really stand out

Thank you! I'm pretty happy with it for now, but I'm sure that will change ;) It has a black background but I think it's time to replace it. I've been using it since I got the tank set up 5ish years ago haha. And apparently I have some algae scraping to do, ick!

Oh dang you're right, I'm seeing reflections from the room...yeah, I just cleaned the glass on my 40 this weekend, but it was mostly biofilm...but my 10 gallon is getting some algae build-up on the back glass (that I never clean), and the RCS are loving it, does look kind of nasty, though

OK, so tragedy has struck =/ 2 of my 4 juvi barbs have died and I can't figure out why. I need to replace my expired test kit, so I can't check my levels right now, but nothing has changed except that I added the fish and some new gravel (rinsed well) to the tank. My other fish are acting normally, eating and swimming fine.
