So I have a little pond, about 200G ... Last spring, I put in 3 juvenile gold oranda.
Within a few weeks I thought the neighbour's cats had killed them as the cats took up residence by the pond and I never saw the fish again :(. I did not replace them as obviously didn't want to condemn any more fish to this fate.
We then had a hot summer.
Come autumn, Pond got its annual clear out, went through the winter freeze, etc ...
Today I was mowing the lawn for the first time of the year and WAHEY, THREE GOLDEN FISH darting around in there hunting the early larvae! Can't believe it, totally chuffed! Also totally amazed as I randomly tested the water after months and months of rain because people kept saying it was "toxic rain" and found Ph of 6 and ammonia of 3! At the time I said thank god we don't have any fish in there lol.
Tested today after I saw the fish and ammonia is back to 0 which makes sense as everything is alive again, the pond plants are growing really well and the spring is taking off ...

    Epic Fish!
55g planted: 10x adult guppies, 9x kuhli loaches, 7x black neons, 2x neons, 6x Amano shrimp, assassin snails & cherry shrimp

10g planted: Occasional platies & black devil trumpet snail

"chuffed" means super happy in British English :) Probably not something you hear down your way!

Gotcha...the closest word I can think of to that is "chafed", but it's not really a happy thing, LOL
