so i have been doing compressed CO2 in my 55g for quite some time now, actually itll be 4 months tomorrow. i have yet to need to fill my 5# tank which is great.

i cant find my other thread about how i was infusing the co2 into the tank, but i was doing it threw the media basket of my AC50. to get a good solid green i needed to pump nearly 3.5 bbs into that thing!!! holy heck!

any ways recently i upgraded the filteration to a SUNSUN 304 filter, and added an inline atomizer. the filter is great and so isnt the atomizer, but the combo isnt too good. i needed to step the tubing size from 1" to 3/4" and back up to just fit the thing. that being said tho it wasnt too hard to do and its running like a champ. im down to 1/2 bbs and im getting too much co2 in the tank still. my drop checker is leaning to a yellow green color. i think its because there's next to no gas exchange with the canister filter. so at night when nothing is using the co2 its piling up. either way im using WAY less co2 with the inline atomizer. the entire set up (filter, atomizer, tank, regulator, tubing, drop checker) was all under $350 just in case any one was wondering.

on a side note ive noticed ive been getting lots of algae still so i dropped my time on to 6 hrs to see if that helps and i switched the UV light on my filter to see if that helps with the water born algae that might come threw. i think the lights need replacing tho, its been 2 yrs with the same bulbs i think
I wonder if i plant one of my tiger barbs would the demon seed grow to a full tree?
    gotta love them bunnies!
