    I would prefer getting some Shubunkin since they can live in 36-90 F water conditions. However, they are a type of goldfish and they are multi-colored. Another choice would be the American Flagfish. They really help with the algae control and can tolerate water temperatures around 66-72 F. They can grow up to 2.5 inches so small pond sizes work well with it. Hope this helps.

    As for bottom dwellers, you could do some Madtom Catfish or if you wanted to risk it with smaller fish, you could throw in a Yellow Bullhead catfish. =]

    Actually, that catfish would probably be a good fit for what you want. If you do Shebunkin or Koi, with some turtles...

    the paradise fish are also very pretty. i am also having a hard time finding the Aphanius mento.

    Unfortunately, very rare in the hobby and so, also pretty expensive.

    1 albino pleco ( he is coming inside), 4 paradise fish, and 3 american flag fish. I might add some more fish latter.

    Very cool. I'd be interested in knowing how the Paradise fish do in a group of 4 in a 100gal pond. Do you know if you got males or females?
