I currently have a 10 gallon aquarium with 4 neon tetras, 1 bamboo shrimp, and 1 sunset dwarf gourami. Anyone have any ideas of other fish/crustaceans?

If it were me i'd put in a either a single or pair of German Blue Rams, 3 male guppies, and perhaps up the neons to 6. But it depends how experienced you are and how long the tank has been setup as Rams are apparently quite sensitive.

But with this setup you will have an amazingly colourful display and all areas of the tank would be inhabited.

29 Gallon: Veiltail Betta, White Cloud Minnows, Neon Tetras, Honey Gourami, Rummy Nose Tetra, Bolivian Ram, African Dwarf Frogs, Amano Shrimp

    6.4 Gallon: Halfmoon Betta

I would just add more neons and get a good proper sized school in there. How many to add depends on how good your filtration is. I would advise against the GBR pair. I kept a single GBR in a ten gallon for about 6 months while I waited for his tank to be ready and it was just too small for even the one.

+1 to mo rams and how about you get the neom number up to 8, they need at least 6
i hear some people say, "i kept a goldfish in a bowl and it lived for a year."
they don't know how lucky they were and all goldfish live at least 15 years in proper conditions.
that is equal to saying my human lived in his closet for 5 years!

Yeah I'd just get more neons and not worry about any more fish. Ten gallons fills up quick.

More neons. Dwarf gourami usually have a big personality and need their space...so focus on having a nice school of neons and maybe a couple more shrimp.

10g looks big, but it really isn't. The more you push the stock level, the harder it will be to keep clean and healthy.
20 gallon with a male betta, neons, glowlights, and red cherry shrimp. (work in progess) Recently added a few LIVE plants and driftwood, Woooohoooo!

Pretty much agree with everyone up there. Add more neons and leave it at that. Even the Bamboo shrimp is a bit big for a 10gal. The ones I had for a hot minute from Petco were about 3-4" long. They're awesome shrimp, but you'd be better off having RCS or CRS or any variety of those. I feel like 10gals are on the large size of the nano tanks.
