I am surprised the front is not at risk with that mix of fish... Could it work... sure but I wouldnt go a pair of them... Breeding season might be hell

Because there is a lot of space they don't bother, in fact they are always together. I have 3 front and when I put them in the aquarium they were small and now they are like almost 3in. Right now the texas have fry, so maybe don't gonna work mixe the jewel with my other cichlids.

Blue Dolphins/yellow electric/zebra work fine and the auratus will be ok as long as you got one that doesnt have a really bad attitude. Auratus can grow up to be mean little buggers...

moorii and frontosa are a bit more docile and also slow growers so they tend to get beaten up easy. They are also from a different habitat than the prev fish...

green texas - s/a cichlid instead of african ... different mature aggression level
