friends alga tank
Ok so i wnet to my friends house yesterday and i saw there two tanks one is a 29 gallon which has a koi angelfish, 2 cardinal tetras, some swordtails and planta and snails oh and a butt load of ALGAE but nothin eats algae in there tank so i want to try to get them a fish that will eat it i was thinking about corys and otos the corys for the bottom of the tank and the otos for the side. Would this be a good idea? Would the corys eat the algae? Any reccomendations or comments appreciated.

He should really figure out the source of the algae rather than relying on a fish to take care of it
Cory's won't eat algae and need there own food not just scraps
Otos and even plecos can't just live on algae and be healthy, usually people feed them zucchini or other greens to supplement their diet
What are his water Params? Amount of light?

It's better to take care of the source, true.
Cories will not eat algae. Otos will need supplements. If you really want algae eaters, try snails. Shrimp are great but the angel would eat them in a minute.20 gallon with a male betta, neons, glowlights, and red cherry shrimp. (work in progess) Recently added a few LIVE plants and driftwood, Woooohoooo!
