so my poor fungus neon has never quit eating but had been schooling less with his buddies and hanging more in a cave until today. hes out about swimming competing for food at feeding time but... still has that fungus patch. this will be day 5 of treatment. it hasn't gotten bigger just stayed the same. nobody else has any symptoms. does this rule out columnaris?

i would so love to pinpoint whats going on in there.

I've told you several times it wasn't columnaris. Columnaris would have wiped out your entire tank in a day or two. Isn't this the second time you have treated for fungus? If the fungus treatment is not working it might be bacterial.
If it's called tourist season why can't I shoot them?
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you are stupid and make bad decisions.

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.
A moderator on a fish forum should be able to identify an oscar... Don't you think?

Perhaps it's time to try a more effective medication
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
